Our Key Differentiator

We prioritise inclusivity and social impact

Syncorana creates sustainable solutions that benefit First Nations people globally, starting in Australia where access to essential services is critical. We are different because:
Challenges

Understanding the issues

Indigenous Australians are the most disadvantaged and marginalised group in Australia, facing a range of significant challenges.

Education

There has been an ongoing education gap between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians. This results in indigenous students often having lower levels of school attendance, retention, and academic achievement.

Employment

Indigenous Australians have faced higher rates of unemployment and economic disadvantage, leading to social and economic inequalities.

Healthcare

Indigenous Australians have historically experienced significant health disparities compared to the non-Indigenous population. This includes higher rates of chronic diseases, lower life expectancy, and poorer overall health outcomes.

Housing

Adequate housing and access to basic infrastructure have been persistent issues for many Indigenous communities. Overcrowding, substandard housing, and lack of essential services have been common problems.

Social & Emotional

Historical trauma, dispossession, and ongoing systemic issues have taken a toll on the social and emotional wellbeing of Indigenous individuals and communities.

Cultural Heritage

The preservation of Indigenous languages, traditions, and cultural practices has been a challenge due to the impact of colonisation and modernisation. Many Indigenous communities are working to revitalise and protect their cultural heritage.

Land

Many Indigenous Australians continue to struggle for recognition of their traditional lands, as well as their right to self-determination and cultural governance.

Access

Remote and rural Indigenous communities often face challenges in accessing essential services such as healthcare, education, and clean water.
